Since 1999, the World Road Association (PIARC) has been conducting a program of international seminars that strengthens its presence and response to the needs of developing countries and those in transition, disseminating the results of PIARC's work more widely in these countries.
Within this framework, the Argentine Roads Association -Argentine National Committee of the World Road Association- organizes together with PIARC the International Seminar "Road mobility projects in Urban Regions and their impact on the environment", corresponding to the Technical Committee 2.1 “Mobility in Urban Areas”.
OBJECTIVES
During this Seminar, international experts will be presenting various experiences, case studies and best practices related to four major topics that were studied within the Technical Committee during the 2020-2023 period:
- Evaluation of Road Mobility Projects in Urban Regions and their impact on the environment.
- Analysis of accessibility and land use in mobility planning for urban regions.Â
- Road Audit Studies in undertakings in the previous stages of the project and the final ones with results obtained.
- Intelligent systems in the control of urban traffic and examples of good practices in the optimization of mobility.
The Seminar will propose an interactive approach among experts and delegates. All Technical Sessions will have a questions and answers period with the audience. Round tables will also propose interaction among experts and with the seminar’s participating public.
TO WHOM IS THIS SEMINAR ADDRESSED?
The International Seminar "Road mobility projects in Urban Regions and their impact on the environment" is intended for authorities of government administrations at all levels; responsible for transport, transit and road safety; freight carriers, logistics managers, control and technical assistance authorities; engineers, consultants, academics, researchers, and students; responsible for the provision of products, demarcation systems, technical and technological services and both local and international experts interested in the topics to be developed.
